Problem Statement

Problem Statement

  • The client is a multi-location dealer for luxury vehicles with one of his workshops in Delhi.

  • Client suspected foul play in its workshop operations and wanted an independent agency to monitor operations.

  • Client engaged Ambit Collective to review the workshop operations and identify any such leakages.

What did we do

We deployed techno-commercial team which helped identify the following:

  • 50+ vehicles noted to have exited on zero bill due to time and budget constrains, and part unavailability in December. 60% had pending jobs present when compared with schedule and technician remarks; however, none were called till 3 months later.
  • 40+ vehicles noted to have stayed in premises for over 4 hours; however, no SR was opened for such vehicles. Manual gate passes were only available in a few cases and carried Advisor’s approval.
  • VAS vendor invoices did not match with either the register maintained at VAS bay or the DMS. Approximately INR 24 lakhs noted as charged excess in a space of 7 months.
  •  SRs /Gate Passes

Outcome

  • Developed matrix for authorisation of zero billing cases, resulting in drop to an average 7 cases per month
  • Implemented process of recording pending jobs and sharing with CRM for calling back resulting in average INR 13 lakhs per month from pending jobs
  • Excess recovered from VAS vendor and guidelines developed for VAS requisition and approval
  •
